south america: bogota to land of fire 2014
our journey
Overview:
In 2014, the Green Project journeyed from Bogotá to the Land of Fire, exploring sustainable energy solutions and the vibrant culture of South America.
From July 19 to September 7, 2014, on the occasion of the organization of the 20th FIFA World Cup in Brazil, GP implemented an expedition to the geodiversity – biodiversity of South America, in order to highlight the enormous importance of this continent in dealing with climate change.
The 16-member GP expedition, made up of distinguished Greek scientists and artists, will cover 14,536 km in the 7 countries of the trek Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.
Our Goal:
The capture in photos and videos of 36 green points of interest, in relation to biodiversity, geodiversity, renewable energy sources, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
